In a letter addressed to Board of Selectmen Chairman John Stagnone, dated Jan. 24, 2012, current Town Manager Francis T. Crimmins, Jr. informed Stagnone of his intent to resign as Town Manager, effective March 31, 2012, creating a vacancy at the position.

The number of residents on this Town Manager search committee is not specified in the advertisement, although at the February 7 Selectmen’s meeting, Human Resources Director Martin McNamara suggested to limit the number of members of the search committee.

Based on the discussions at the February 7 meeting, there may be five members on this committee, with potentially two members of the committee coming from the Board of Selectmen, but that has yet to be decided.
