Taunton Man Charged In Charity Box Theft
Police say Robert Brazeau swiped the box from a Cobbs Corner store.

STOUGHTON, MA — The man who police say swiped a charity box from a Cobbs Corner store was arrested Friday.
Robert Brazeau, 33, of Taunton, was taken into custody near the Lakewood Pines neighborhood and charged with larceny from a building, according to the Stoughton Police Department.
At about 3:05 a.m. Wednesday, Brazeau allegedly walked into the Seasons Corner Market at Cobbs Corner and took the box filled with money, according to the Stoughton Police Department.

The box was for Boots On The Ground, a charitable organization that's "dedicated to empowering veterans and qualified civilians to provide in-field emergency and primary medical care, and other assistance required to sustain life, facilitate recovery, and to encourage and promote long-term development, stability, and peace in underserved areas of the world," according to the Stoughton Police Department.
Friday night, police received a call for a suspicious man. When officers arrived at the scene, they allegedly found Brazeau, wearing the same sneakers, coat and winter hat.

Brazeau is due in Stoughton District Court Monday morning.
