Town Manager’s Resignation Letter Offers Few Details

Stoughton Patch has received a copy of Town Manager Francis T. Crimmins Jr.’s resignation letter from .

The letter, dated January 24, 2012 and addressed to Board of Selectman Chairman John Stagnone, informs Stagnone of Crimmins’ intent to , effective March 31, 2012.

The letter is posted in the media gallery.

This “notice of the intent to terminate contract” offers no additional details, however.

It reads:

Dear Chairman Stagnone:

Reference is made to a certain Employment Agreement Between Francis T. Crimmins, Jr. and the Town of Stoughton, dated February 9, 2010.

Pursuant to Numbered Paragraph 13. Termination of said agreement, please be advised of my intent to terminate this contract effective March 31, 2012.

Crimmins was hired by the Board of Selectmen in a 3-2 vote in January of 2010, and according to his resignation letter, Crimmins entered into an employment agreement with the town on February 9, 2010.
