What's Open, Closed on Labor Day in Stoughton

Town offices, schools and banks will be closed for the holiday.

The unofficial end to summer is approaching, as Labor Day arrives on Monday, Sept. 1.

Here’s what’s open and what’s closed in and around Stoughton on Labor Day:

  • Banks: Closed
  • Library: Closed
  • Stoughton Town Hall: Closed
  • Schools: Closed
  • Retail Locations: Open at owners’ discretion
  • Bars & Restaurants: Open at owners’ discretion
  • Liquor Stores: Open at owners’ discretion
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Stock Market: Closed
  • MBTA: Operating on a Sunday schedule.

There will be no curbside trash collection on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1. Trash collection will instead be scheduled for Tuesday, Sept 2. in addition to regular trash pickup for that day.

Trash and recyclables must be at curbside by 7 a.m. the day of pickup. For more information, click here.
