More about Entertainment Act Cliff Hillis from Pam Carr of the Stoughton Farmers Market Committee:
Cliff Hillis (www.cliffhillis.com) is an award-winning singer/songerwriter from PA with finely-honed pop/rock sensibility.
His original songs have been featured in TV shows and films. Hillis has also won national and regional songwriting / jingle awards and contests. In baseball terms, Hillis is a valued, multi-talented “utility” player: He plays guitar, bass and keyboards. He sings, he writes. And he’s an in-demand studio whiz who has recorded, produced or mixed many artists.
In addition to showcasing his original songs, Cliff also plays covers including Beatles, Kinks, Neil Young, Wilco, Fountains of Wayne.
We are thrilled to have him play for us at the market on this MA tour, on which he joins Rhett Miller (of Old 97s fame) at the Beachcomber in Wellfleet and Johnny D's in Somerville.
Stoughton's own pop star Mike Viola is a Cliff Hillis fan. - "Cliff is taking some chances while also delivering some solid pop production, the stuff you'd expect from a big fan of big pop. it's a blast to listen to." -Mike Viola (Candy Butchers) on Hillis' latest solo album "Dream Good" (the album’s title comes from one of its songs, but Hillis happily points out that “Dream Good” is also #20 on Woody Guthrie’s list of New Years Resolutions from 1943)
"There are some artists who you just know should rise up and become stars, and Cliff Hillis is one of them." - David Bash for Entertainment Today, Los Angeles.
