Pastor's Term Ends At Our Lady of Fatima Church In Sudbury

Fr. Rich Erikson's term is up.

SUDBURY, MA—On March 1, Fr. Rich Erikson's term as pastor of Our Lady of Fatima concludes, and the pastor will move on to serve as the administrator to St. Mary's Parish in Winchester.

According to a post from Erikson on the church's Facebook page, the move was at the request of Cardinal O'Malley.

"It has been a great joy and privilege to serve as your pastor," he wrote. "You have shown great faith, hope, love and generosity. I love you and will cherish our years together. As I say often, 'Every day as pastor of Our Lady of Fatima is a good day.' I am looking forward to the next two months with you and I am praying for God's blessing on the priest (not yet chosen) who will be so fortunate as to lead our amazing community of faith beginning on March 1. Thank you for your love and prayers which have sustained me at Our Lady of Fatima and which I will need and count on as I move to St. Mary's. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us."
