11 Open Positions For Office In Sudbury: Select Board, School Committee And Others

Here's when nomination papers are due.

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury residents will head to the polls to vote on 11 open positions this March.

Nomination papers to run for office in the 2026 Annual Town Election became available on Tuesday at the Sudbury Town Clerk's Office. Those interested in running must return completed papers by Monday, Feb. 9.

There are four names on the ballot so far:

  • Ingrid Mayyasi is seeking re-election on the Goodnow Library Trustees
  • Ravi Simon is seeking re-election on the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee
  • Charles Russo is seeking re-election on the Select Board
  • Julie Durgin is seeking a seat on the Sudbury School Committee

The following positions will appear on the ballot:

  • Select Board: one 3-year term
  • Board of Assessors: one 3-year term
  • Goodnow Library Trustees: two 3-year terms
  • Board of Health: one 3-year term
  • Park and Recreation Commission: one 3-year term
  • Planning Board: one 3-year term
  • Sudbury School Committee: two 3-year terms
  • Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee: two 3-year terms

Nomination papers are available for both incumbents and new candidates. Candidates for the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee should obtain nomination papers from the District Clerk, Casey Friend, at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

The Annual Town Election will take place on Mar. 30. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Fairbank Gym, 40 Fairbank Rd.

The deadline to register to vote in Sudbury is Mar. 20, and voting by mail will be available for the election.
