Sudbury ‘Microtransit’ Service Gets Green Light
The shuttle program is offering rides for free for the time being.

SUDBURY, MA — After a successful pilot year, Sudbury’s shuttle program has been approved for another year. Plus, the service will continue to be fare-free for the time being, according to the Sudbury Transportation Committee.
The "microtransit" service debuted last July. It is a MetroWest Regional Transit Authority shuttle bus that works similar to rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft. It offers on-demand rides anywhere in town and to parts of Marlborough.
The MWRTA shuttle has been used in other towns as an alternative to fixed-route buses. All you have to do is request a ride in the Catch Connect app, and a driver will pick you up.
