5 Things To Do This Weekend

5 ways to spend the first weekend of August.

It's the first week of August and there is still plenty of summer left to celebrate. This weekend's events say summer better than anything. Get out, eat clams, go to the beach and find a local festival nearby.

Fish - The Swampscott Yacht Club will hold a striped bass for cash tournament midnight on Friday until 9 p.m. Saturday.

Clam Bake -- The last clam bake of the season at will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday on Fisherman's Beach. The club is looking for someone to learn the ropes in order to hold future clam bakes. Call Mike Hartmann at 781.864.6070. Additional help needed Saturday as well.
