Absentee Ballots Now Available for Town Election

The annual town election is on Tuesday, April 26.

Swampscott, MA - Absentee ballots for the April 26 town election are now available at the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall.

All applications for absentee ballots must be made in writing. Applications can be mailed or hand delivered. Any form of written communication (letter or postcard) or the official application form is acceptable. A family member may apply in the same manner for you.

You may vote Absentee ballot if you will be absent from the town on Election Day, have a physical disability that prevents your voting at the polling location or cannot vote at the polls due to religious beliefs. You may vote at the Clerk’s office or request the ballot be mailed to you. Deadline to apply for an Absentee ballot for this election is no later than 12:00 p.m. on April 25.

Absentee ballots must be received in the Clerk’s Office no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day. An Official Absentee ballot application may also be downloaded on the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website: http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleifv/howabs.htm
