All Staff and Students Safe, Say School Officials
Nobody was injured and the threat was unfounded after a bomb threat at Swampscott High School on Thursday morning.

The staff and students at Swampscott High School are all safe after a bomb threat on Thursday morning, according to school officials.
Everyone in the school was evacuated at about 9:30 a.m. to the upper field located off the Greenway, according to school officials.
“We are working with law enforcement and a search of the building is being conducted by a bomb squad,” said the message from school officials before it was later determined the threat was unfounded.

No students or staff were allowed back into the building before it was cleared.
WHDH-TV channel 7 reported sources said the threat was phoned in to the school, saying that the school would be blown up. The Boston Globe said it was a “non-specific bomb threat from an unknown source.”
