Back To School: Swampscott 2023-24 School Calendar

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Swampscott, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day at Swampscott High School, Swampscott Middle School and the elementary schools.

The first day of school for most students in Swampscott is Aug. 30.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Swampscott Public Schools

First Day: Aug. 30 for pre-K and Grades 1-12

Sept. 6 for kindergarten

Labor Day Break: Sept. 1 through Sept. 4.

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23 through Nov. 26 (early release on Nov. 22)

Winter Break: Dec. 25 through Jan. 1 (early release on Dec. 22)

February Break: Feb. 19 through Feb. 23

April Break: April 15 through April 19

Last Day: June 12 with no snow days

No School Days: Labor Day break Sept. 1 through Sept. 4, Yom Kippur Sept. 25, Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day Oct. 9, Veterans Day Nov. 10, Martin Luther King Jr. Day Jan. 15, Good Friday March 29, Memorial Day May 27, Juneteenth (if school is extended) June 19.
