Man Found In Snow Suffered Gunshot Wound
Update: The body found in the snow on Monday morning had suffered a gunshot wound.

LYNN, MA – The man found in the snow on Monday morning on Surfside Road had suffered a gunshot wound to his upper chest and lower neck, according to authorities.
The man was found by another man snowblowing on Surfside Road around 5 a.m. Police responded to a call in the area at 4 a.m., but did not find anything. It's unclear what the initial call was for, but when they returned they found a deceased Hispanic man in the snow.
Police identified the body as 38-year-old Carlos Aponte of an unknown address. According to Essex County District Attorney Spokesperson Carrie Kimball-Monahan, the man had visible injuries to his upper chest and lower neck, possibly from a stabbing or a gunshot wound. Kimball-Monahan confirmed Tuesday that the injury was from a gunshot wound.
