Boston to Swampscott Train Cancelled Thursday
A train from Boston to Swampscott during the Thursday evening commute has been cancelled for the second time in less than a week.

For the second time in less than a week, the same train from North Station to Swampscott has been cancelled during the evening commute.
The MBTA said that train 69 on Thursday will not run. It is typically scheduled to leave North Station in Boston at 5:55 p.m. and get to Swampscott at 6:19 p.m.
In turn, inbound train 72 will also not run and will be replaced by buses. Train 72 typically leaves Swampscott at 7:11 p.m. and gets to Boston at 7:34 p.m.

The cancellation has been attributed to “mechanical problems,” according to the T.
Anyone who was planning to leave Boston on the 5:55 p.m. train is encouraged to take another train, including those leaving from North Station at 5:15, 5:40 or 6:15 p.m.

It is the second time in less than week that the train has been cancelled. Last week, on Halloween, train 69 was also cancelled.
