Buckle Up for the Worst Potholes in Swampscott

Nothing puts a dent in a morning commute like bad traffic and a street littered with potholes.

Blizzard 2016 left monumental snowfalls up and down the east coast, and Swampscott was not immune to its wrath.

Large snowfalls compiled with El Niño induced warmer temperatures have caused more potholes and road problems than most motorists can stomach.

Patch Readers gave us a rundown of particularly pocked streets in their neighborhoods. Here are some spots that might be worth detouring:

• “At the end of my driveway on Pierro terrace...Sidewalk is completely torn up and has caused me to need 2 tire repairs.”

• “Stetson Ave. where the old railroad bridge was.”

• “Stop & Shop leading toward Essex St.”
