Crash Leads to OUI Arrest, Man 'Yanking' on Doors, Hockey Net in the Road: Police Log

SWAMPSCOTT, MA

Wednesday, Jan. 13

At 1:25 a.m., a door at St. John’s was found to be open.

At 3:04 a.m., a contractor out sanding reported a motor vehicle in a driveway had an open door.

At 6:13 a.m., a driver reported a hockey net was in the middle of the street.

At 9:06 a.m., a caller reported a man was “yanking” on doors at the AT&T store. The person was an employee and was trying to open the store.

At 1:09 p.m., John Farrelly, 42, of Beverly was arrested following a motor vehicle crash. Farrelly was charged with operating under the influence of liquor (2nd offense) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

At 4:24 p.m., a caller reported a couple of kids in front of the vacant Machon School and possible trying to get in through a window.
