UPDATED: Dense Fog Advisory Extended Until Midnight Tuesday

Drivers should use caution now through midnight Tuesday after the National Weather Service extended its earlier dense fog advisory for most of Southern New England until midnight Tuesday.

Areas of fog will develop this afternoon, particularly in the late afternoon and early evening hours. With this advisory, drivers should be aware visibilities will be one quarter mile or less at times.

Dense fog will lead to the rapid reduction in visibility which can make driving dangerous.
