Dog in the Pond, Shoplifting, Open Manhole Cover: Police Log

SWAMPSCOTT, MA -

Monday, Jan. 18

At 5:59 a.m., a caller reported a manhole cover was open on the sidewalk.

At 7:19 a.m., a sewer backup was reported on Erie Street.

At 1:35 p.m., a call came in that a dog was in the pond next to the beach club. The dog’s owner went in and rescued the dog.

At 4:46 p.m., shoplifting was reported at Stop & Shop.

At 5:02 p.m., a package was reported stolen.

At 5:24 p.m., shoplifting was reported at Radio Shack.
