Five Things You Need to Know This Week in Swampscott

From deadlines to special events to helpful hints, here's a snapshot of what you need to know in the week ahead.

  1. Swampscott Master Plan Committee. The committee meets on Monday, Nov. 16 to go over draft documents related to the Swampscott 2025 Master Plan. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Swampscott Senior Center. Check out the agenda.
  2. Early release days. Parent-teacher conferences are happening this week at Swampscott High and Swampscott Middle. On Tuesday, high school students will be released at 12:30 p.m.; on Wednesday and Thursday, middle school students will be released at 12:30 p.m.
  3. Model Bridge Competition. On Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m., the library will host an informational night and pizza party for middle and high school students interested in taking part in 22nd annual Model Bridge Competition.
  4. Indoor Farmers’ Market. The annual Swampscott Indoor Farmers’ Market happens Sunday, Nov. 22 in the Swampscott High School Atrium. Stop by and pick up your fresh Thanksgiving goodies from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
  5. Donate for dogs. Swampscott 10-year-old AJ Kluge is fundraising for area dog rescue Sweet Paws. Check out his story.
