Police Seize 14.8 Grams of Heroin in Drug Arrest

Police found roughly 14.8 grams of heroin and $1,193 in cash during a drug investigation.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA – Swampscott Police arrested a 28-year-old man with addresses in Swampscott and Lynn on Tuesday after a drug investigation into a New Ocean Street parking lot.

According to a statement from Swampscott Police, detectives received information that drug deals were happening in the parking lot of 6 New Ocean Street. Officers arrested Juan Mora, 28, on charges of possession with intent to distribute a class A drug, and distribution of a class A drug.

Mora was stopped by detectives on Paradise Road. Police found roughly 14.8 grams of suspected heroin, $1,193 in cash, and two cell phones. Swampscott Sgt. Thomas Hennessey, Officers Tom Lucas and Justin Bragan, and Salem Police Sgt. Robert Lubas and his K-9 Axel.

Mora was held without bail and was expected to be arraigned in Lynn District Court.
