Swampscott Boys' Soccer Team Earns Overtime Win in Tournament

The boys’ Big Blue soccer team kept its tournament hopes alive Friday with a 4-3 overtime win against Burke.

Swampscott (4) faced Burke (5) in the quarterfinal round Friday night after both teams earned a first-round bye in the tournament. With the win, Swampscott secured its place in the semifinal match of the North Division 3 MIAA tournament.

The semifinal match will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Swampscott will face the winner of Saturday’s Wayland (1) vs. Bedford (8) match.
