Swampscott High Cheerleaders Launch Annual Thanksgiving Pie Drive

The cheerleaders were set to sell pies at Friday night's football game and through Nov. 10 to benefit the program.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — It's a busy stretch for the Swampscott High varsity cheerleaders as they launch their annual Thanksgiving Apple Pie Sale to benefit the program with the option to buy pies for My Brother's Table at the same time they are gearing up for the Northeastern Conference Championships.

The cheerleaders were set to begin selling the pies during Friday night's game against Masconomet at Blocksidge Field (7 p.m.) and will continue selling the pies through Nov. 10.

The cheerleaders are collaborating with Spinelli's of Lynnfield to get the pies, with the option to buy pies for donation to My Brother's Table in Lynn. There have been 62 pies donated to My Brother's Table over the past two years.

They will then take part in the annual rolling pick-up on Nov. 21 at 61 Blaney Street in Swampscott.

They are also working hard on their routines both for the sideline and the competition season. They will next compete in the Northeastern Conference Championships on Thursday at Gloucester High School.
