Swampscott To Host First Town Pumpkin Toss Composting Event
Residents can compost their Halloween pumpkins on Sunday at the Phillips Park parking lot.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott residents are invited to compost their Halloween pumpkins in a fun and environmentally conscious way at the town's first Pumpkin Toss set for the Phillips Park parking lot this weekend.
Residents will be invited to try to hit the targets in the Black Earth special collection toss.
Those with pumpkins not sturdy enough for tossing can skip the target practice and drop off pumpkins for composting. Pumpkins will be taken to the Black Earth field for open-air industrial composting.
