Swampscott Releases RFP for Greenwood Ave School Property
The town has released the request for proposals for the Greenwood Avenue, former middle school property.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA – The Greenwood Avenue school property is officially for sale. The town released a request for proposals (RFP) last week for the former middle school at 71 Greenwood Ave.
The full RFP is available by request only, but a post on the town website noted that the building "is in a dilapidated condition, and poses a hazard to public safety and welfare in its current condition. The building must either be demolished, or rehabilitated to a significant extent."
The post said interested buyers can get a copy of the RFP from the Board of Selectmen's office at Swampscott Town Hall. The deadline for proposals is March 10.
