Swampscott Road Closures, Parking Restrictions For July 3 Fireworks

Parking restrictions will begin at 3 p.m. with road closures to start at 6.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The Swampscott Police Department has announced a series of road closures and parking restrictions for the July 3 fireworks.

Parking restrictions will begin at 3 p.m. with those in violation subject to ticketing and towing.

"Large crowds are expected, so if coming as a family, please take the time to talk to your children about safety and create a plan if you become separated," Swampscott police said. " Please remember to report any suspicious activity to any uniformed officer present or call the Swampscott Police at 781-595-1111.

"The Swampscott Police Department wants everyone to have a fun, safe, and enjoyable evening."

The Swampscott Town Hall Lawn will host a day of food, music and a beer garden beginning at 5 p.m. with fireworks set to start at dusk (about 9 p.m.).

ROAD CLOSURES will go into effect on at 6 p.m.:
- Humphrey St. (from Eastern Ave/Lynn line to Redington St.)
- ALL of Monument Ave.
- Burrill St from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- Elmwood Rd. from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- ALL of Shaw Rd.
- ALL of Andrew Rd.
- ALL of Thomas Rd.
- ALL of Hardy Rd.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS will go into effect beginning at 3 p.m. There will be NO PARKING ON BOTH SIDES – please adhere to the temporary signage.
- Humphrey St. (from Eastern Ave/Lynn line to Redington St.)
- ALL of Monument Ave.
- Burrill St from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- Elmwood Rd. from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- ALL of Redington St.
- ALL of Sheridan Rd.
- ALL of Thomas Rd.
- ALL of Banks Rd.
- Portions of Walker Rd.
- Farragut Rd. from Ellis Rd. to Walker Rd.

Handicap parking will be available at the Hadley School lot on Redington St., with limited availability.

Public parking will be available at Phillips Park/Football Field, with limited availability.
