Swampscott Students Honored At Bryant, BU, Emerson, Holy Cross, UVM

These Swampscott students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — These Swampscott students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Bryant University announced Brooke Matela and Anna Mishenina were named to the spring 2023 Dean's List. To earn a place on the Dean's List students must have a GPA of 3.4 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.

Naomi Culliton graduated magna cum laud with a BA degree in Psychology from the Boston University College of Arts and Sciences.

The following Swampscott students earned bachelor's degrees from the University of Vermont:

Abigail Bruhm graduated with a bachelor's in Microbiology.

Herschel Muntiu graduated with a bachelor's in Economics and Computer Science.

Tracey Zicherman graduated with a bachelor's in Anthropology.

Emma Tomlins was named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the spring 2023 semester.

To be named to the Hamilton Dean's List, a student must have carried a course load of four or more graded credits throughout the semester and earned an average GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Tomlins, a May graduate, majored in history at Hamilton.

Tania Shadari, a Lasell University student, was recognized by their peers for outstanding collaboration in the spring 2023 semester in their Business Policy course.

Shadari was selected as one of the three best people to work with in this course. Recipients of the Collaboration Recognition Award are selected by their peers for exemplifying superior skills in collaboration by sharing ideas and useful information, communicating in a professional manner, and cooperating in a way to ensure success.

The Collaboration Recognition Program at Lasell University was launched in 2021 as an opportunity to acknowledge students not just for their academic performance in a particular course, but for collaborative behaviors that are the key to success in professional environments.

Christian Emmerich was named to the College of the Holy Cross spring 2023 Dean's List.

A member of the Class of 2023, Emmerich was named to the Holy Cross Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year.

To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Sabrina Andrews earned Dean's list honors at The University of Tampa for the spring 2023 semester. Andrews is a Freshman majoring in Education-Elementary (K-6)-PRE. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

The following students are named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester:

Aidan Bonner is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the Class of 2025.

Abraham Beuttler is majoring in Sports Communication and is a member of the Class of 2026.

Eve Levy is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the Class of 2026.

Piper Hall is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the Class of 2026.

The requirement to make Emerson Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

Matthew Spillane was named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester.

Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. Spillane is currently pursuing the Computer Networking & Cybersecurity major.
