Swampscott 'Trash Talk' Committee Seeks 2 New Members
Residents interested in reducing, reusing and recycling are invited to join the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — The Swampscott Solid Waste Advisory Committee is seeking two members for its "Trash Talk" committee dedicated to examine ways the town can reduce, reuse, recycle and divert waste into appropriate streams.
SWAC advises the town on many different aspects of solid waste disposal with a goal of maximizing the diversion of materials from landfills and incineration.
SWAC is made up of a group of Swampscott residents who care about their town and its environmental and fiscal footprint. Most people who see our work are surprised with the amount of interesting and complex opportunities are available.
