Swampscott's 2015 Halloween Sex Offender Safety Map

Before the kids go out trick-or-treating on Halloween, it’s a good idea to take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

Swampscott has one Level 3 sex offender living in the town, according to the state’s Sex Offender Registry Board.

The Level 3 sex offender designation is reserved for the most severe offenders. Level 3 sex offenders pose a ”high risk” to re-offend, according to the state. They are not wanted by police, and it is illegal to use the following information to commit a crime or engage in any discrimination or harassment against an offender.

In addition, Swampscott has one Level 2 offender living in town and two Level 2 offenders working in town, according to the state registry. Level 2 offenders pose a “moderate risk” to re-offend, according to the state.
