Winter Parking Stickers Now Available From Police

Applications are now available for a Winter Parking Ban sticker, for night's without snowfall, from Swampscott police. The ban starts Dec. 1

The Swampscott Police Department is now accepting applications for the town’s Winter Parking Ban.

The Winter Parking Ban requires vehicles to be off of the road from 1-6 a.m. from Dec. 1 through 6 on March 30, 2015. The only vehicles that may be left on the road during these hours are vehicles with valid Winter Parking stickers.

Parking violations will be issued if a vehicle does not have a parking waiver sticker ($20), a vehicle is parked on the street despite forecasted snowfall, regardless of being issued a sticker ($25) or a vehicle parked on the street during a snow emergency and/or impeding snow removal ($50).
