Woman Bothered After Bad Date

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police log:

Monday, August 1

  • At 11:36 p.m. a resident called police to say he saw four males drag an object from the backyard of a Puritan Road residence to the beach. Police responded to the beach and found nothing.

  • At 10:36 p.m. a woman called police to tell them she was being bothered by phone calls from a man she went out on a date with and "refuses to take no for an answer." The woman told police she did not know the man's name.
  • At 11:16 p.m. wires came down on Redington Street.

Wednesday, August 3

  • A resident of Paradise Road reported their car was broken into and an iPod stolen.
  • At 6:02 p.m. police alerted DPW of a water main break in the area of the baseball field on Forest Avenue. The irrigation system was shut down.
  • At 10:11 p.m. police were told a person was leaving the area of Humphrey Street without having their children belted. Police found the person with the children at their residence and the person told them they had been in a verbal argument with someone at a restaurant about having noisy children and that's probably who called. Police checked and the children were all fine. 

Thursday, August 4

  • At 12:18 a.m. a Hawthorne Road resident said they had heard possible gunshots or fireworks. Police did not find anything and all was quiet.
  • At 11:17 p.m. police responded to for a burglar alarm going off.

The following people were arrested:

  • Robert Frank Capozzi Jr., 33, 616 Humphrey St., was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery on Thursday at 8:03 p.m.
