'You Shot Somebody,' Overheard in Swampscott: Police Log

The caller reported people were yelling at each other in a vehicle.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA -

Sunday, Jan. 3

At 1:39 a.m., a caller reported overhearing someone yell, “You shot somebody. Get out of my car.” Officers located the parties in question. They said they were referring to an incident in Lynn in which someone was hit -- took a shot -- in the face.

At 4:42 a.m., four gunshots were reported.

At 5:15 a.m., two individuals in dark clothing were reported to be going through backyards.

At 8:42 a.m., a caller said water, possibly sewage, was coming up through a manhole cover by their driveway.

At 6:01 p.m., a person reported driving behind an erratic driver. The caller provided a partial plate number, which didn’t match any vehicles in the system.
