Do You Know the Origin of Tewksbury's Name?
A recent slideshow names Tewksbury among the some hard-to-pronounce Massachusetts town names.

Tewksbury, pronounced tooks-bury is among the more difficult town names in the state to pronounce, according to a recent article outlining the phonetics and origins of 30 Massachusetts towns.
We have the Native American roots in the state to thank for some truly unique and, in some cases, downright confusing pronunciations. (Ever had a tourist ask for directions to Glow-ses-ter?)
But Tewksbury’s name actually hails from England. According to the Boston.com slideshow, “In 1734, Tewksbury was incorporated as a town and named after Tewkesbury, England.
