Man Dealt Large Quantities Of Drugs In Tewksbury, Police Say

The local man was arrested and charged following a months-long investigation.

TEWKSBURY, MA — A man was arrested on drug-dealing charges in Tewksbury on Wednesday following a months-long investigation, police said.

Abbey Kasujja, 31, of Tewksbury, was charged with obstruction of justice, trafficking 200 grams or more of methamphetamine, trafficking 100 grams or more of cocaine, and trafficking 36 grams or more of cocaine.

Police obtained a warrant to search Kasujja's home on Chandler Street and did so Wednesday afternoon.

Police said they seized 445.6 grams of methamphetamine, 121.8 grams of cocaine, and 82.3 grams of crack cocaine, as well as several phones, laptops, hard drives, and a large quantity of cash.

Kasujja was arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court and was held on $10,000 cash bail.

The arrest comes after months of investigation by several local police departments.

“I commend the strong work of Tewksbury Police and investigative officers in handling this investigation,” Police Chief Ryan Columbus said in a statement. “Thanks to their efforts, a large quantity of drugs are off of the streets. This response is a sound demonstration of collaboration between agencies and our commitment to keeping our community safe from dangerous drugs.”
