Khoa Mac Named Winner of Rotary Club Hats Off Award
Award recognizes students who have distinguished themselves academically, have contributed to the co-curricular program at TMHS and have been active in the community.
Tewksbury High School and the Tewksbury Rotary Club recently named senior Khoa Mac as the latest recipient of the Hats Off Award.
Hats Off is a joint initiative of the Rotary Club and TMHS. The award recognizes students who have distinguished themselves academically, have contributed to the co-curricular program at TMHS and have been active in the community.
Khoa, the daughter of Thuy Le, immigrated to the United States at 11 and learned English as a second language.

Khoa has received several Renaissance gold and silver card awards for academic achievement. In addition to being an outstanding student, she is also a hockey cheerleader.
When not studying and cheering, Khoa works at a nail salon in the Rockingham Mall, Salem, NH. Previously, she had worked as a server at a Vietnamese cuisine restaurant.

Khoa was nominated for the Hats Off Award by TMHS staff member Annmarie McCormick, who made special mention of Khoa's remarkable work ethic as an intern in the main office at the high school for the past two years. McCormick said Khoa does an excellent job helping parents, greeting visitors in the reception area and helping to make sure the office runs smoothly.
"Khoa displays leadership, takes charge and is caring, friendly, and outgoing to her colleagues," said McCormick.
