Reading Man Arraigned on Fraud Charges

A Reading resident, and newspaper delivery man in Woburn, is allegedly behind a string of identity fraud, forgery and larceny incidents. He was arraigned in court this week.

Over 600 residents attended Special Town Meeting at North Reading High School Monday night to vote to appropriate $15.5 million in additional funds for the school building project. The auditorium filled quickly and the overflow space in the gymnasium was utilized. Residents used a paper ballot to vote, and the motion passed by more than the required two-thirds, 525 to 120.

Wilmington Financial Advisor Charged With Bilking Clients of $1.1 Million

The legal problems are continuing to mount for a Wilmington-based financial advisor.

Earlier today (March 18), the Securities and Exchange Commission announced Gregg D. Caplitz, who been charged with stealing money from clients who were given the false impression they were investing in a hedge fund.

In 2012, Caplitz was charged with filing multiple false tax returns and was later charged with conspiracy and impeding the IRS.
