Seniors Ready To Celebrate July With Trips and Cookouts
The following is news from the Senior Center.

Please note the following correction from last week's COA column: All Town Departments will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning July 9.
In addition, all departments including the Senior Center will be open on Fridays beginning July 13.

The Upscale Consignment Boutique will hold its “Intake of Items” Day on Monday, July 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. New consignors are always welcome.

The Senior Center will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th in recognition of the holiday.
Space is still available on the following up-coming July day trips: (1) a Foxwood Day trip on Wednesday, July 11th at $21 per person; (2) a Hyannis Harbor Cruise with a buffet lunch and a stop at the Christmas Tree Shop on Monday, July 16th with a trip cost of $51; and, (3) a trip to Bristol, RI on Friday, July 27th for a buffet luncheon, an hour guided tour of Bristol and a guided tour of Linden Place, Bristol’s “Great House,” where generations of seafaring DeWolfs, Colts and Barrymore's entertained presidents and politicos. This trip is also $51. Please note that all trips are contingent on a 30 person minimum sign-up.

Yuen Li, the Senior Center SHINE Counselor, will not be at the Senior Center for appointment on July 2nd and 9th.
Medicare and supplemental coverages. One may call the Senior Center 978-640-4480 to arrange an appointment.
She will resume appointment on July 16th. Ms. Li advises people.

The Golden Age Club will hold its Annual Cookout at the Senior Center on Tuesday, July 10th. For tickets and more information on this event, one may check with a GAC officer at the Senior Center.

A Senior Center Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, July 21st from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are still being accepted. The cost for a table space is $15 or 2 spaces for $25. To register one may drop by the Senior Center. The public is welcome to reserve tables.

The next DJ Jon Mansfield afternoon dance will be held on Monday, July 30th. Tickets are $6 per person and lunch is included if one purchases his/her ticket by July25th.
