TEWKSBURY, MA - A serious accident closed a portion of Shawsheen Street just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.Shawsheen Street was closed between Ballard Street and Lowe Street due to the accident.Just after 4 p.m., Tewksbury Police were awaiting the Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction team. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and use another route if possible.Shawsheen Street reopened just after 6 p.m.Tewksbury Patch will bring you more information as it becomes available.
