Spencer Inducted into National Senior Honor Society of Mortar Board

Resident was inducted into the Western New England University Pynchon Chapter of the National Senior Honor Society of Mortar Board.

Shaine G. Spencer of Tewksbury, has been inducted into the Western New England University chapter of Mortar Board, a national honor society. Spencer is majoring in Biomedical Engineering at the University.

Mortar Board is a national honor society that has recognized college seniors since its founding in 1918. Mortar Board provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities, and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community. The Pynchon chapter at Western New England College was chartered in 2000 and currently has 34 members.

Western New England University is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England serves 3,965 students, including 2,575 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Pharmacy, and the School of Law.
