UPDATE: Level 3 Sex Offender Who Disappeared From Tewksbury is Captured
Police say the man cut off his bracelet and threw it in the back of a pickup truck parked in a Home Depot parking lot in Tewksbury.
Only an hour after asking for the public's help in finding a Level 3 sex offender, the Massachusetts State Police arrested the man in Maine.
Troopers from the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section travelled to Augusta, Maine, and arrested Brian Addeo, 32, at a rooming house in that city.
Addeo, 32, is a lifetime parolee who has been convicted of kidnapping, unnatural rape of a child under 16 (four counts), aggravated rape (two counts), indecent assault and battery on a child (four counts), indecent exposure (four counts) and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife) in Worcester Superior Court, according to a State Police press release. His convictions stemmed from three separate incidents and involved six different female victims here in Massachusetts.

He fled the state after removing his GPS tracking bracelet in Tewksbury on Friday, March, 11. Police said that Addeo cut off his bracelet and threw it in the back of a pickup truck parked in a Home Depot parking lot in Tewksbury. They believed he did this in an effort to evade police, and recapture.
Addeo's last known address was in nearby Upton, after being released from prison and sentenced to lifetime community parole supervision by a Worcester Superior Court Judge in April of last year, said the release.
