Tewksbury Fireworks Traffic Plan
With the fireworks set for Sunday, July 5, here is what you need to know about road closures and traffic impacts.

With Tewksbury’s annual fireworks display set for Sunday, July 5, Police Chief Timothy Sheehan wants residents to be aware of the traffic plan surrounding the events.
The fireworks display will be held on Sunday, July 5 at 9:30 p.m. on Livingston Street by the Recreation Center.
Due to the event, the following traffic impacts will occur:

The traffic from Main Street entering Livingston Street, as well as East Street entering Livingston Street, will be shut down at roughly 9 p.m. (or as soon as all the parking lots on Livingston Street are full). The estimated start time for the fireworks display will be at 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting).
After the display has ended, all traffic from the upper parking lot (Hazel Field) on Livingston Street will be directed toward Main Street.

Traffic exiting from the upper parking lot up toward Main Street will be sent south on Main Street (towards Wilmington). All traffic from the lower parking lots on Livingston Street will be directed toward East Street.
Due to anticipated heavy traffic on Main Street from residents parking in the Brooks Plaza, Mahoney’s Garden Center, and the Wynn Middle School, all traffic exiting those locations will be sent north on Main Street towards Chandler Street.
