Tewksbury Residents Graduate from the Academy of Notre Dame
Three residents graduated during the school's commencement exercise on May 30.
The Academy of Notre Dame held it’s 161st Commencement Exercise on May 30th where 51 students received their diplomas from the private, all-girls Catholic high school in Tyngsboro.
Among the graduates were three young women from Tewksbury:
Erica L. Dirk
During her time at the Academy, Erica L. Dirk was was a student council representative for four years and served as secretary her senior year and committee chair for several class events. Dirk was also a mission moderator and a member of the Spanish Honor Society. As an athlete she participated on the track, volleyball, and basketball teams, as well as serving as captain of the softball team. Dirk will be attending University of Massachusetts, Amherst this fall.

Carley J. Scarano
Carley J. Scarano has participated on the swim and dive, track and field, and softball teams serving as captain on several. She played a significant role as an outgoing leader to the Class. Scarano will be attending Roger Williams University where she received a merit scholarship.
Loren D. Sullivan
Loren D. Sullivan was an active member of the Blue and Gold ambassador program, the Campus Ministry, the liturgy committee, and NDA Missions. As an athlete, she participated in volleyball, softball, and basketball where she served as captain during her senior year. Sullivan is attending Roger Williams University where she received a merit scholarship this upcoming fall.

Collectively, the Academy’s Class of 2015 earned more than $9.4 million in four-year renewable, merit-base college scholarships including three full-scholarship awardees and 30 half-tuition scholarships. They were accepted at more than 140 colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada. More than half of the graduates will be pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) related fields of study.
