Tewksbury Schools to Have Cameras and GPS Units Installed on All Buses
According to the Tewksbury Town Crier, there will be no cost to the taxpayers for the equipment.
This fall Tewksbury school officials will be able to monitor the safety of their students as they will install GPS systems and security cameras on all buses, according to a story in the Tewksbury Town Crier.
The newspaper reported that there will be no cost to taxpayers to install the equipment. Instead, Tewksbury Transit will pay for the cameras and GPS units.
“The cameras and GPS are being added at our request,” said Superintendent of Schools John O’Connor, according to the Town Crier. “We have a goal to enhance school security across the district.”
