Tewksbury Trio Charged In Connection To Rash of Burglaries

Tewksbury Police believe they have cracked a recent rash of home burglaries with the arrests of three local residents.

William Medugno, 23, of 18 Pringle St, Tewksbury, Ryan Codner, 21, of 34 Cinnamon Cir, Tewksbury, and Catherine Bradley, 22, of 260 Pine Street, Tewksbury were all arrested on March 7 in connection with two burglaries on Pike Street, one on McNeil Way, one on Astle Street and another on Catherwood Road.

According to Tewksbury Police Chief Timothy Sheehan, Medugno is charged with four counts of breaking and entering, attempted breaking and entering, three counts of larceny over $250, and conspiracy. He also had an outstanding warrant out of Lawrence District Court for malicious damage to a motor vehicle. 

Codner has been charged with one count of breaking and entering, larceny over $250, and conspiracy.   

Bradley has been charged with receiving stolen property over $250 and possession of a class B substance (oxycodone). 

 All three were arraigned in Lowell District Court on March 8.

This is not the first brush with the law for Codner and Medugno.

Medugno was arrested

According to Tewksbury Police, detectives had been already been investigating several house breaks when a concerned citizen called Police Headquarters on March 7 and reported a man peering into windows of homes on Catherwood Road.

Officers arrived on scene and found a man, later identified as Medugno. Further investigation led police to believe he had attempted breaking into a home on Catherwood Road.

Detectives then learned that Medugno had been staying at the Motel Caswell, sharing a room with Bradley. According to the police report, Detectives arrived at the room and a search found drugs, as well as property from several of the recent house breaks.

Continued investigation revealed that Codner was staying in the adjacent room and that he was connected to the recent rash of house breaks, according to Tewksbury Police.

Armed with a search warrant, Detectives executer a search of Codner's room, as well, and found several more items allegedly take in the burglaries.

 Tewksbury Police say the investigation is ongoing and that the trio may be connected to additional house breaks in the area.

Additional stolen property has been recovered from a pawn shop in Salem, NH.
