What Jobs Would Be Available at the Proposed Slots Parlor in Tewksbury?
500 permanent jobs would be created should the proposed slots parlor be approved.

As outlined in the host community agreement signed between Penn National Gaming and the Board of Selectmen, the proposed slots parlor at 300 Ames Pond Drive would create 1,000 construction jobs and 500 permanent jobs if the facility opens.
Two weeks ago, Penn National Gaming announced an agreement with Middlesex Community College to train the workforce for the proposed slots parlor.
Penn National Gaming has posted a sample list of the jobs that would be available in Tewksbury should the facility be approved on their website.
The jobs include those on the casino floor such as slot attendant, behind the scenes jobs such as surveillance agent and management-level positions such as facility director.
According to Penn National, the average salary for one their employees is $40,000 to $46,0000 and 75 percent of their jobs are full-time positions.
