When Is The Voter Registration Deadline For Special Town Meeting?

The following information is provided by Town Clerk Denise Graffeo:

The final day to register to be eligible to vote at the Aug. 20 special Town Meeting is Friday, Aug. 9.

There will be a voter registration session held Aug. 9 at the Town Clerk's office from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents may also register to vote Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Town Clerk's office.

The only article on the warrant for special Town Meeting is the proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw that would accommodate a slots parlor at 300 Ames Pond Drive. 

For the article to pass, a two-thirds majority of voters present at special Town Meeting on Aug. 20 would have to vote in favor of the proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw.
