William McCabe, who took ill during the trial of the man accused of murdering his son 43 years ago, died earlier today at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus. He was 85. McCabe missed the final few days of the trial of in connection with the death of Johnny McCabe. According to family members, William McCabe suffered two heart attacks and was hospitalized on Monday. Tewksbury Patch will publish a full obituary for Mr. McCabe as soon as it is available.
