Wakefield students will be back in the classroom next month. Here are some important dates for the rest of the school year.
WAKEFIELD, MA — For many, summer remains in full swing. The new school year is fast approaching, though, with students set to be back in the classroom in just a matter of weeks.
The Wakefield Public Schools have released their 2022-2023 calendar, complete with information on the first day of classes, Thanksgiving break, winter break and more.
The first day of school is set for Sept. 7, while the last day will be June 20. Snow could push the end of schools as far as June 27, though.

- First Day: Sept. 7
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24 - 25
- Winter Break: Dec. 26 - Jan. 2
- February Break: Feb. 20 - 24
- Spring Break: April 17 - 21
- Last Day (no snow days): June 20
