No One Hospitalized In Saugus Route 1 Rollover
The crash involved a Malden man and a Portsmouth, N.H. man on Wednesday morning, according to State Police.
SAUGUS, MA — Two drivers appeared to have escaped major injury in a rollover crash on Wednesday morning that caused backups and lane closures on Route One in Saugus, according to State Police.
The crash saw a 56-year-old Malden man and a 50-year-old Portsmouth, N.H. man collide in their cars just after 8:20 a.m., State Police said. Neither driver was taken to the hospital, though, State Police continued.
Left lanes were closed on the southbound side of Route One near Essex Street following the crash as of 9 a.m., state Department of Transit officials said, with traffic piling up behind the crash site.

The scene cleared around 9:15 a.m., according to State Police, though MassDOT officials warned residual delays were initially still in effect.
