Detour Planned At Wakefield Greenwood Crossing For Commuter Rail Work
The detour will begin on Friday and last through much of the weekend.

WAKEFIELD, MA - Commuter Rail track work at Wakefield’s Greenwood Street train crossing will prompt detours in town beginning on Friday night, Wakefield Police announced on Thursday.
Keolis, which operates the Commuter Rail system for the MBTA, will have crews on site replacing railroad tracks at the Greenwood Street rail crossing beginning on Friday night at 9 p.m.
Work will continue through Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m., according to Wakefield Police.

Motorists in the area will hit detours on either side of the Greenwood crossing at Greenwood Street’s intersections with Main Street and Myrtle Avenue respectively.
The planned work this weekend is part of a regular maintenance program for Keolis, a company spokesperson told Patch on Friday.

"This work further improves reliability and predictability for our passengers, and safety for the whole community," that spokesperson said.
