Firebird Pops Orchestra Announces 2025 Fall Season
Film Night returns September 26 in Gloucester, followed by Haunted Pops on October 25 in Wakefield

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – September 18, 2025 – The Firebird Pops Orchestra is thrilled to announce its 2025 fall season, featuring two audience-favorite programs that highlight the orchestra’s imaginative approach to symphonic music.
On Friday, September 26, the Firebird Pops will present Film Night at Gloucester’s historic Hammond Castle Museum. Set inside the Museum’s acoustically remarkable Great Hall, the program invites audiences to experience unforgettable music from television and film in an intimate, atmospheric setting. Under the baton of Founder and Conductor Brendan J. Kenney, the Firebird Pops chamber orchestra will bring to life iconic scores from Harry Potter, The Avengers, Jurassic Park, The Wizard of Oz, Schindler’s List, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, and more.
Then, on Saturday, October 25, the Firebird Pops return to Wakefield’s Veterans Memorial Auditorium at Galvin Middle School for its annual Haunted Pops. A seasonal favorite for families and music lovers alike, this spirited concert celebrates all things spooky with creative arrangements that deliver eerie tunes and thrilling surprises.

“Our fall concerts bring back so many favorites our audiences have come to know and love through the Firebird Pops,” said Kenney. “We’re especially excited to return to Hammond Castle Museum for Film Night. Having performed this program on the grounds in 2022, this is the first time we get to bring this kind of cinematic music to the Great Hall. In October, we’ll carry that energy into Haunted Pops, building on this annual tradition with Halloween-inspired music from film, video games, and Broadway. Every year we raise the bar with new surprises that keep the Firebird Pops a part of spooky-season celebrations.”
Known for redefining what orchestral music can be, the Firebird Pops blends professional-caliber musicianship with accessible, multimedia-inspired programming. Past performances have featured everything from Hans Zimmer and video game soundtracks to science-inspired collaborations.
